Perry and Hull

Dr. Barry K. Hull, M.D., F.A.A.F.P. is the founding physician of A New Start Counseling Center, Medical Division. It’s mission is to provide medical psychiatric services to patients with a goal of healing: not just making patients better, but making patients well without suffering side effects from their medications.

Jack Perry, Jr. revealed that he dealt with anger and domestic violence in his family as a child, and the path to healing that he traveled. In Jack’s new book, Jack writes about the lasting effects of anger, and how during his last visit with his father, before his father passed away, he asked, “Dad, why were you so angry?”

Jack Perry, Jr.’s book, “The Other Side of Anger; A Son’s Search for Peace,” will be released August 2014.  For more information, please visit www.sourcepointcoaching.com

On the show today, Theresa Wash from Community Welcome House, Cheryl DeLuca-Johnson from Street Grace, and Cathy Berggren from Real Life Center, spoke with Jack about the real and serious problem of violence and abuse at home, and how prevalent, but well-hidden the problem can be.

Theresa Wash is Executive Director at Community Welcome House (www.communitywelcomehouse.org or call 770-304-0966). She would like women and children to know that there is a safe place to go, to get the help they need, and address the issues surrounding a domestic violence situation.

Cheryl DeLuca-Johnson is President and CEO of StreetGrace (www.streetgrace.org or call 678-809-2111).  Cheryl spoke with Jack about how it’s not uncommon for children, running from a violent home, to find themselves falling victim to people who take advantage with domestic minor sex trafficking (DMST). Street Grace’s Cheryl DeLuca-Johnson joins Jack Perry, Jr. on Legacy Leaders Radio about Domestic Minor Sex Trafficking

Cheryl headshot 2014 small copy

Legacy Leaders Radio tackled the hard-to-hear crisis about children who are sold into sex in Atlanta and around the United States.  Street Grace is an alliance of Christian Churches dedicated to the eradication of domestic minor sex trafficking (DMST), and its president and CEO, Cheryl Deluca-Johnson spoke on-air with Host Jack Perry, Jr. about this crisis going on right now in our cities.

Cheryl has more than 20 years of humanitarian work, and is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with a background specializing in women’s issues, specifically women and addiction.

Jack and Cheryl led a discussion that everyone should hear.  The Internet has enabled DMST to grow, and according to Cheryl, there is no such thing as a child prostitute; they are children being abused by adults.  The laws in this country need to catch up with the problem, and Street Grace is championing the efforts to change the laws and bring awareness to this terrible crisis.

For more information on Street Grace and to help Cheryl eradicate DMST, visit www.streetgrace.org
